Sara was born and raised in Harlingen, and calls Brownsville home. She is a constitutional lawyer, former teacher, mother of three young children, and human rights advocate.
As a lawyer she has fought for justice-taking on a broken criminal justice system that too often abuses the falsely accused, and many more who are neglected or invisible.
As a constitutional lawyer, Sara has been in the trenches defending those who's constitutional rights get violated. Sara has seen firsthand how the system is rigged against working families , women, immigrants, our LGBT community, and all other minorities.
Now Sara is running for State Senator to directly challenge a rigged system that for too long has ignored our communities.
Sara is running for this position because she knows the value of human connection.
